Inkblended-Embossed-Stencil Love Card | Brutus Monroe

 Hi Friends,

Made a card for Brutus Monroes monthly inspiration card.

This time took Brutus Monroe’s Pinwheel Stencil and ink blended and embossed through the stencil to get a beautiful pattern using a subtle and soft toned shades.

Over to my card,

Love how the plain stencil other than using for Ink blending technique, when clubbed with dry Embossing technique, gives such a whole new texture to the card panel.

Hope you like it!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Am SO excited and happy to be part of Altenew’s Build-A-Flower: Semi- Double Chrysanthemum Release Bloghop!

Am a sucker for flowers and Absolutely love Altenew’s varied range of products right from their brand launch. I feel so honoured and humbled by this Awesome opportunity.

You should have arrived from talented, Rachael Shedeed’s blog. Else if you are starting from here, I have a full blog hop list at the end of my post.

I have created a card today using Altenew Semi Double Chrysanthemum set.

Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Product Description:

Love and flowers don’t need to be perfect, but these gorgeous florals come very close to perfection!

This layering stamp set features a beautiful 4-layer chrysanthemum and three 3-layer leaves to add to your handmade cards, scrapbook layouts, bullet journal pages, and other DIY paper crafting projects.

The Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum special edition stamp and die set is only sold as a bundle. It includes one 6″ x 8″ clear photopolymer stamp set (16 individual stamp images) and one coordinating die set (4 dies).

To create my card, I first stamped solid image of flowers followed by using second and third images, which are detailed layers. I used the Summer Afternoon mini ink cube set for the flowers. And then they were die cut using co-ordinating dies.

I did two such flowers and diecut using their co-ordinating dies and kept aside.

The green leaves are also from Semi-Double Chrysanthemum set, which were stamped onto white cardstock using Green Fields mini dye ink cube collections. They were also die cut using  co-ordinating dies.

The sentiment ‘Love’ is gold heat embossed on black cardstock and fussy cut it to give a defined look. The second part of sentiment is gold heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip.

Finally for the background, took Altenew Classy strips stencil and embossing paste and created a partial stencilling to give a subtle texture to the card.

Then added Brusho – Lime green color pigment onto a watercolor cardstock, to create the organic styled background on the stenciled areas. Left to air dry and trimmed the focal panel.

Matted this focal panel onto A2 sized black Top fold cardbase using foam adhesives.. Then arranged the flowers and leaves to get a desired look. Popped the fussy cut sentiment and sentiment strip as shown above using foam adhesives.

Finally added some black enamel dots to finish off the card.

And now for the most exciting part : Giveaway!

 Hiya Crafters,

Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2021.

Am sharing my first post for this year. As always, Love watercoloring and Love floral stamps.

Recently Jane’s doodles had drew a digital stamp to raise money for the Earthquake struck areas of Croatia. Kindly check their website and extend your generous help towards the noble cause.

I did my part of buying this digital stamp called Hope and gonna spread the word as maximum as I could by my card making and watercoloring.

Over to my card,

  • Printed the digi on Canson montval watercolor paper.
  • Colored using Daniel smith watercolors.
  • Fussy cut and kept aside.
  • Took a Grey A2 sized cardbase.
  • Topped with a white panel which was stenciled with Wendy Vechi Embossing paste using a TH stencil flourishes.
  • Splattered the left over paints over stenciled paste once dried.
  • Added the fussy cut florals using Foam adhesives and adhesive tapes for dimension.
  • Splattered generously with white acrylic paint.
  • Added few clear dew droplets as accents.
  • Took TH small talk and added to white strip and mounted on the card panel using foam adhesive.
  • This panel then added to the cardbase to finish off the card.

Butterflies’ Birthday Wish

Hi Friends!

Am here today with a simple birthday card with a bit of Watercolor play with Brusho.

It’s been a long time since I played with it!

  • Took watercolor cardstock and sprayed water with a mister.
  • Added the Lime green Brusho pigment. One of my favorite of all for the pigments it holds : Green, Yellow and a dash of blue.
  • Heat set when the pigments moved and formed a desired look,
  • Using TCW ‘Art is’ stencil, stenciled over the colored area with Prima’s Platinum crackle paste.
  • Being a thin font style, the crackles aren’t that prominent. Nevertheless I love the metallic sheen of the platinum paste.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Inspired By Stamping ‘Wishing you’ using memento black ink onto the focal panel.
  • Using Ranger White EP , heat embossed the butterflies from Stamplorations Trendy Butterflies2  onto Vellum.
  • Fussy cut those butterflies and added to the focal panel.
  • This panel is trimmed and mounted onto a baby blue top fold 4×6″ card base.
  • Few clear dew droplets added as final touch.
Hope you like it!
