  • Used Prisma colored pencils for coloring.
  • Die-cut the panel using Spellbinders frame die.
  • Stamped the sentiment from IBS Tulip Bouquet stampset (Retired company)
  • Matted over a black cardstock.
  • Mounted this panel over the 4×6 white top fold cardbase.
  • Added few clear dew droplets for the interest.

Pencil colored Floral card : Smile

Hiya Friends,

Lockdown and Social distancing are continuing and so the online classes for the kids have started at most Indian Schools here to keep them occupied at these unprecedented times. Am amazed by the ways, these Teachers co-ordinate and handle 28 kids at a time with their super informative and interesting classes. It took me back to my school days and I sat with my son for few of his classes and was taking notes.

Back to my card for today. This card’s color palette is inspired from ongoing Altenew Challenge.

  • Stamped Altenew Forever in Love Roses bunch onto Strathmore Toned gray sketch paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
  • Colored using Prisma colored pencils.
  • Die-cut the colored image using Spellbinders die for the framed edge look.
  • Then buffed the edges using the Colorbox-Frost white ink to keep the central floral areas darker and rest a faded look.
  • Then generously splashed white ink splatters over the colored florals.
  • Matted this panel onto a black cardstock using liquid adhesive.
  • The sentiment from same stampset is stamped using Mudra Mai Black ink.
  • Then this focal panel added to the white A6 sized Top fold card base.
  • Finally dew drops added for interest.

Spring Floral card : Janesdoodles Digitals

Hi All,

My dear Mom’s birthday today and made a floral card for my Plant Nerd Mumma 🙂

She absolutely love plants and religiously maintains a huge garden at my hometown. This blog is the sample of her creative streaks which she transferred. Such a fabulous oil painting artist she is and all my childhood days were spent watching her create layers and layers of those artistic paintings.

Way back in 2011, this day, I made a handmade Quilled birthday card to Mom and from that there wasn’t no looking back…The moments were in search of “Me time” when little one was just 2 yrs old and I ended up to this wonderland of Art and Handmade rightly!! Kind of soul-seeking!

Over to the card for today!

  • Printed Janesdoodles digital image onto a Strathmore toned gray sketch paper.
  • Colored using Prisma colored pencils.
  • Fussy cut the florals and set aside.
  • Took a white A2 sized top fold card base.
  • Stenciled with Altenew limestone ink using Altenew’s Classy stripes stencil.
  • Generously splashed watered white paint over fussy cut florals and set aside for air drying.
  • Stamped SSS sentiment using Mudra Mai black ink.
  • Mounted the floral bunch using foam adhesives.
  • Added few enamel dots to finish off the cards.
Hope you like it!
