Bouquet of Sunshine – Powerpoppy

Hi blogger Friends,

How y’all have been?

Brought in yet another Floral card to brighten your day.

  • Printed the digital image from Powerpoppy – Send home some Sunflowers in grayscale, to do some no line coloring with Prisma colored pencils.
  • Fussy cut the bouquet and the sentiment in a shape of a tag and set it aside.
  • Took a watercolored cardstock and with Brushos – Limegreen, gave  a background wash of color.
  • Then with TCW- Art is stencil and Prima Light paste, gave a texture in the focal panel,
  • Took the fussy cut floral bouquet and tag, ran black marker around the edges to give a defined look.
  • Mounted the bouquet and Tag using foam adhesives on textured focal panel.
  • Matted this textured panel over A2 sized black card base.
  • Few dew droplets added to finish off the card.
Hope you like it!

Altered Wreath

Hi Friends,

Am back with yet another mixed media project. This time altered a round chopping board as well as the Grape wine wreath.

Must say i fell in love with this 8″ wreath and bought just to alter it for my project!

Amazingly it turned out well!!

Gifted this to a Dear soul for her birthday today 🙂
  ” Happy Birthday SivaPriya”

  • Base is a 10″ round chopping board. I bought it for making into a wall art, but it now houses this wreath so beautifully.

  • It looks this plain in the beginning and its the look of it, after light paste stenciling and white crackle paste textures.
  • Yup i converted its plain back surface like above, by stenciling and waxing with Prima waxes.
  • That metal embellishment is to hide the brand inscription there, and so it could be centrally placed.
And below are closer shots of the Mixed media piece, which i thoroughly enjoyed making it!

  • Loads of Prima and Finnabair products used!
