Friends & Flowers : Floral card

Hi Bloggy pals,

Coloring and Cardmaking are the routines in my ‘Me’ time. It’s hard to get a stretch of few hours to play my favorite Mixed media techniques.

Nevertheless, Calligraphy and Coloring taking much of my time and making my days 🙂

Over to my card,

Stamped Mudra Wild rose onto Canson Montval watercolor paper in Antique Linen DI.
Watercolored using Gansai Tambi watercolors.
Highlighted and deepened the shadows using Prisma colored pencils.
Fussy cut the florals and set aside.
Took a grey cardstock and cut one edge using MFT bracket edge duo die.
Then embossed the panel using an embossing folder.
Stamped the sentiment from IBS on the cardbase.
Matted this embossed die-cut panel over A2 sized white top fold cardbase.
Splashed
Generously watered down White acrylic over embossed panel and fussy cut florals.
Mounted the florals using foam adhesives as well as double sided tapes for dimension.
Added few white pearls as accents.

Hi Crafty peeps,

Am participating in Kathyrac’s the daily marker coloring challenge. And so Coloring has started in full swing.

Turned up yesterday’s coloring into a card today, adding the background, darkening the shadows some more.

Over to my card!

Stamped the Stampendous Sweet Sunflower onto a watercolor paper using Antique Linen DI for Noline coloring.
Colored using Zig clean color brush pens and for darkening the shadows used Prisma colored pencils.
The bg made using Zig clean color brush pens.
Generously splashed with watered down White paint.
Sentiment is stamped from Mudra Simply florals using Mudra Mai Jet black ink.
Added this watercolored panel to a corrugated panel.
Tied a twine and added beads to their ends for those touch of accents.
The panel then matted on the A2 sized top fold black card base.

Together Forever : Chipboard CAS Card

Hi Bloggy pals,

It’s CAS card again this time. Though I ardently love making textures and layers, CAS amazes me equally with all those white spaces, which speaks tons of emotions. I admire a lot of CAS crafters, who aesthetically work on focal elements and brings in Minimalistic versions.

Yes, It’s yet another card using Brusho, my most favorite watercolors. Love to create visual textures with it.

Took a watercolor panel and played with Brusho crystal – Orange for an abstract look at one corner of the card.
Then took MUDRA chipzeb and sponged with MUDRA Mai jet black ink.
Stamped an appealing sentiment from MUDRA together forever stamp set with 2 hearts on the lower portion of the card.
Added the chipboard using liquid adhesive.
Mounted this panel to A2 sized black cardbase to finish off this card.

Hi Everyone,

For today’s card, tried noline coloring on critters. Watercolored a spring scene using Gansai Tambi watercolors.

Stamped the cute scene from Mudra craftstamps onto watercolor cardstock using DI Antique Linen for online coloring.
Watercolored using Gansai Tambi watercolors and used Prisma pencil colors for all detailing.
Sentiment is white heat embossed over a black cardstock.
Die cut the spring scene using a stitched circle die.
Sentiment is trimmed and added to the focal panel.
This focal panel is foam mounted onto a beige top fold cardbase of A2 size.

Pencil colored Roses Card

Hey Hi All,

Floral mood is still on here. And it calls for pencil coloring. This time, on Strathmore Toned Tan sketch paper. The subtle textures of paper gives the much needed tooth for the prisma colored pencils to color on. Absolutely love the way the colors blend in here to do several layers.

Took Strathmore Toned Tan and stamped Mudra Freshcut roses using Antique Linen DI for a no line pencil coloring.
Used Prisma colored pencils for coloring.
Die-cut the panel using Spellbinders frame die.
Stamped the sentiment from IBS Tulip Bouquet stampset (Retired company)
Matted over a black cardstock.
Mounted this panel over the 4×6 white top fold cardbase.
Added few clear dew droplets for the interest.

Magnolias : A Floral card

Hi Crafty peeps,

Am here today with another floral card.

This time its Magnolias from Mudra 🙂

Stamped the Mudra : Magnolias stamp using Black archival ink on a Arches hot pressed paper.
Then colored using Zig clean color brush pens.
Then for shadows and highlights used Prisma colored pencils.
Fussy cut and kept aside.
On a smooth white cs, sponged Distress oxides : Worn lipstick and Peeled paint on opposite corners and misted with water.
This created a blotchy effect on bg.
Randomly splashed black paint using Distress ink: Black soot.
Stamped the sentiment form Mudra and added the fussy cut florals on top.
This panel is mounted on a black cs and then to the white A2 sized card base.
Added green enamel dots as accents.

Stenciled Floral card

Hi Friends,

Am here today with a floral card. This time its a one layer card, with just stenciling and pencil coloring.

Took a smooth white cs and stenciled this Beautiful peonies using Mudra Peony Stencil and sponged with Distress oxides : Fozzilised amber and Worn lipstick for petals and Peeled paint for leaves.
Then the shadows and highlights are done using Prisma colored pencils.
Used Distress ink: Black soot for the black splatters.
Sentiment is from Mudra : Flower bunch stampset, which is white heat embossed on black cs.
Added green enamel dots as accents.
This panel is matted with black cs and added to a top fold A2 sized kraft card base.

Quick CAS card

Hi Friends!

Back to blogging after a long time. Truly miss this space..Yet enjoyed my vacation a lot at my Home country India and a mini vacation too to SriLanka.

Colored this Mudra’s Ganesha stamp using prisma colored pencils and fussy cut it.
Took Mudra’s Indian ornate chipboard and gold heat embossed it.
Took a A2 sized kraft cardbase.
Topped with an orange-gold hand marbled paper.
Added the chipboard using glue, and fussy cut element popped up using foam adhesive.
Stamped the sentiment directly on to card panel using black archival ink.

A quick card to wish you all “Happy Ganesh Chathurthi”
