MHKD Designer Inspiration: SathyaSankaran

Hi Friends!!

Its my turn today to post Monthly Inspirations at MHKDesigns.

I made this card using Sunflower sampler digi set. I just colored the printed digis with Faber castell bicolor pencils , fussy and mounted on a Beautifully brocade digi paper, which was matted on a ivory A2 cardbase.

Butterfly image from Butterfly wisdom is colored and fussy cut, mounted near the flower. Sentiment is matted with Sunflower sampler digi paper and tucked under satin ribbons.

This finishes off the card. Hope you like it!

Am excited to welcome you to the June 2016 MHK Designs release. We have some really fun sets to check over the next few days, as well as chances to win either one of the sets OR all of them!.

Butterfly elements is the digi on focus :

My take on this is:

Took image and sentiment of focal panel and colored images with Faber castell bicolor pencils
Fussy cut butterflies alone from similar design and colored and mounted on the focal panel and embellished with few baby pink pearls. This then matted on a black cardbase. Hope you like it!

MHK June Release: I’ve Been Framed

Am excited to welcome you to the June 2016 MHK Designs release. We have some really beautiful sets to check over the next few days, as well as chances to win either one of the sets OR all of them!.

Digi on focus today: I’ve been framed

My take on this digi 🙂

Somehow this plain image given me several ideas to work with. Shall work on it in forthcoming inspirations.

Wanna make a sunset scene. Loads of distress inks – Scattered straw, Wildhoney, Rusty hinge by masking the base layer with a circle mask for sun and went ahead by darker tones by building colors one by one.

The ground was made by distressing with Toffee crunch and Rich cocoa Momento inks. Revealed sun by removing masks and draw few birds amidst of those branches to mimic the distant flying birds.

Thus the focal panel s made ready and matted on a black cs for little more focus to the panel and mounted on to light yellow A2 cardbase.

Sentiment is fussy cut in portions and distressed slightly with scattered straw and toffee crunch and mounted using foam tapes on the centre portion of the focal scene.

Lot of series of distressing made this super simple card. Hope you like it!

My take on this:

Took A6 white cardbase and to it matted a black cs and Party Hardy -Digipaper in red.

Digi image and sentiment  are from the stampset “Stencil in the roses”

The image panel is matted with a black cs and mounted on the cardbase.

The image is precolored. The leaves and main large rose is popped using 2 fussy cut layers using foam adhesives. The top layer of rose flower edges were distressed using aged mahogany DI and the leaves using Peeled paint DI. Distressed the top panel using tumbled glass DI.

Black satin ribbon added to the card and top on it the sentiment banner added.
Used 2 black rhinestones as accents.
