Emboss Resist – Watercolored Florals | MFT

 Hi ya Friends,

Am back here again today with a card for MFT Camp Create. I have clubbed two techniques Emboss Resist and Watercoloring in this floral card.

Over to my card,

  • Took a light blue panel, Clear embossed the magnolia from MFT Floral focus and applied Distress inks of various blue shades and finally black soot on the edges alone.
  • This gave a nice glow to the centre of the card.
  • Did No line watercoloring to a floral sprig and fussy cut it.
  • Foam mounted the image as shown and topped with a sentiment label diecut.
Hope you like it!

Happy Crafting!

Delightful Diecutting | Leafy Greenery – MFT

 Hi everyone,

This year am participating in MFT Camp create .Today joined for Delightful Diecutting using MFT A2 Stitched Rec Stax dies and Leafy Greenery Dies.

I stacked the MFT A2 Stitched Rec dies leaving biggest and a middle sized ones and diecut a white panel. Flipped over and put washi tapes to secure those in their places.

Then took a white panel and ink blended rainbow colors and diecut using a small die from MFT Leafy Greenery die set. Diecut few vellum sprigs from the same die.

Added the diecut stax dies on a A2 sized top folding Off white cardbase using foam adhesive. Arranged the leafy diecuts as rainbow wreath as shown above. White heat embossed sentiment is topped over the wreath. As a final touch, added enamel dots onto the inkblended rainbow wreath.

Hope you like my card.

There is still time to play along the ongoing challenge. Check MFT blog for more details.

Happy Crafting!!

Guest Designer for Time Out Challenge #164

Hi Craftypeeps!

Am excited to guest design today at Timeout for their current challenge #164.
I have been inspired by the rainbow colors and the birthday cake for my card today.

  • I have colored the base of focal panel with watercolors in the rainbow fashion.
  • Took a vellum circle die-cut and embossed it using WRMK 3D embossing folder.
  • Heat embossed a cake using Ranger platinum embossing powder.
  • Colored the cake using Prisma colored pencils and fussy cut it.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Mudra on the lower portion of the panel using Mudra Mai Jet ink.
  • Matted this panel over a 4×6″ white cardbase.
  • Few enamel dots are added for interest.
For more inspirations from the Design team, do check out the post HERE.

I would like to thank Sandie and TO Design Team for having me as guest.
Love to see your cards there at gallery.

  • Heat embossed the butterflies from same stampset, over vellum using Ranger’s White embossing powder.
  • Matted this watercolored panel to a 6×4″ white top fold cardbase.
  • Added the fussycut white heat embossed butterflies to the focal panel.
  • Added few dew droplets for interest.

Be Brave!

Hey Hi All,

Am still sticking and challenging myself onto making of some non-floral cards…Yay bit away from my pencil coloring, watercoloring of florals.

And for today, it’s a Butterfly card.

To me, Butterfly symbolises a “Free spirit”. And it goes wherever it pleases and pleases wherever it goes.

  • Took a watercolor paper and trimmed a bit to fit a 4×6″ Top fold cardbase.
  • Mixed HNDMD paper texture paste and Brusho -Limegreen to get a beautiful shade of green.
  • Applied this prepared paste over the panel using TCW ‘Art is’ stencil diagonally and applied plain paper paste to rest of the areas.
  • Love this texture paste as it just mimics a handmade paper texture.
  • Centrally splashed Smooch-Spritz golden yellow for a warm glow.
  • Stamplorations -Trendy butterflies2 large butterfly is gold heat embossed, fussy-cut and topped over die-cut leaves to create a focal element.
  • Sentiment from same stamp set is stamped using Memento black ink on to a strip of paper and added to the focal panel.
  • Matted this over cardbase and added few green enamel dots to finish off the card.
Hope you like it!
