Pink Posies :)

Wanted to share a card today, after my memorable trip to Nepal…Really mesmerizing scenic beauties with awesome weather made me to rewind my trips to Jeju, South Korea…Dussehra is a grand festival in Nepal and happened to celebrate there this year.

Used my new spellbinders Timeless rectangle die..Just loved those swirly corners..  and tried triple loop bow too. The card base is a white cardstock on it is the digi floral pp and top of it is the largest die of the Timeless rectangle die from a white cardstock, which is matted with another digi floral pp. And above that is second largest die is cut again from white cardstock  and on it, is the smallest die in baby pink cardstock.

Sentiment is handwritten using Rangers white embossing pen and heat embossed it with White Zing Ep. Below added a triple loop bow in baby pink ribbon and on it added few roses, mulberry flower and punched leaves, few leaves are distressed with crushed olive distress ink.

Sequins, few pearls are added as final touch.

Supplies:

White cardstock, baby pink roses, white pearls – Nupur priya
Timeless rectangle Spellbinders die, White Zing EP,Heat gun, Crushed olive Distress ink – Crafters corner
Ribbon, pink pearls,Sequins – Stash

Altered box

Wanted to share an altered box.

Top view:

Side view of the box:

This is the old cartoon box which i have upcycled.

For the base, i embossed the white CS with darice embossing folder and distressed completely with spun sugar. Scalloped oval dies of 2 different sizes are taken and distressed it with victorain velvet, Sentiment is then stamped on the smaller die and placed at centre around which the added big blooms and smaller flowers, few fancy flourish diecuts and olive leaves diecuts. The scalloped oval is accented with few white pearls. MS butterflies are added in purple, white colors as embellishment with few pink pearls.  Around the edges and to make it seamless, added baby pink washi tape and covered the flap wholly to insert inside the box.

Have decorated the sides of box with base white CS and on it decorated border stickers are added in purple and pink around the sides. Now ready to be filled with Candies.

Quilled Flowers

Very Happy New year to all my readers and blogger friends…Hope this new year brings all joy and harmony  to us.

2012 has gone so fast for me as 8 months i stayed in India after my Taiwan relocation and came here to UAE and this 4 months here gone super fast. And now, my little one got admission in International Indian School and so will be going to KG from April.

For all these days, i have been quilling and gifting for my near and dear ones only both in Taiwan and India. Orders came my way, though i dont do quilling on a monetary basis. Either they picked up the original piece or asked for a same color, pattern work, So there wasn’t any chance to post about those in my blog as i never like reciprocating the same piece again…

And now year’s first post and of course, my first customized order for a quilled work came my way 🙂 seeing my Blog!!!

Updation: After Framing:

Though a very simple quilled work, am happy for bringing out the smile and happiness in my client after getting this work.

And for the first time, i used Needle tool instead of Slotted one…and loved the result.

And did you notice that, oh yah…Its my brand new digital watermark. Love it a lot. Thank You, Nupur Priya for making this lovely unique one 🙂

Hope you all like it…

Hope this new year brings many more chance and ways to improvise myself in this wonderful art. Tentative intimation about UAE quilling exhibition has come and am working on for that now. So will post my works  after the exhibition which may held in last week of Jan or 1st week of Feb…Wish me Good Luck!
