Hiya Friends,
Made a card for Brutus Monroe using their Charlotte’s Wreath. This time did a simple subtle partial stencilling with foam flowers using diecuts.
Hope you like it!
Obsession with Paper Art
Hiya All,
Participating in MFT Camp Create : Background Bonanza.
As my MFT supplies are so very limited, I got to put on my thinking cap to bring about a background using my single die set apart I own from my A2 stitched Rec frame die set.
Over to my card,
I made this MFT leaf greenery die set as hero of this card. I die cut 2 variety of sprigs few times from white cs and pasted over the entire white focal panel and die cut it using MFT A2 stitched Rec Stax largest diecut. Love this faux embossed look of the focal panel.
Then diecut few more different sprigs from ink blended panel using various Distress ink greens.
Made a cluster onto the panel as shown and topped the sentiment strip with foam adhesive.
Matted over a white A2 sized top fold cardbase and then added few enamel dots in different sizes and green shades to finish off the card.
Hi everyone,
This year am participating in MFT Camp create .Today joined for Delightful Diecutting using MFT A2 Stitched Rec Stax dies and Leafy Greenery Dies.
I stacked the MFT A2 Stitched Rec dies leaving biggest and a middle sized ones and diecut a white panel. Flipped over and put washi tapes to secure those in their places.
Then took a white panel and ink blended rainbow colors and diecut using a small die from MFT Leafy Greenery die set. Diecut few vellum sprigs from the same die.
Added the diecut stax dies on a A2 sized top folding Off white cardbase using foam adhesive. Arranged the leafy diecuts as rainbow wreath as shown above. White heat embossed sentiment is topped over the wreath. As a final touch, added enamel dots onto the inkblended rainbow wreath.
Hope you like my card.
There is still time to play along the ongoing challenge. Check MFT blog for more details.
Happy Crafting!!
Linking this card to MFT Background bonanza too as I made the background using MFT stitched dies.

We’re excited to introduce another Glimmer Hot Foil collection! The Delicate Impressions Collection has five sets of Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. The fifth set, Heart Melt Sentiments, has four unique phrases with matching dies. The other four sets are designed to create borders and accents that can be used on cards from A2 to 5 x 7-inches. Each elegant motif can be layered with itself or mix with others in the same collection or beyond.
Glimmer Hot Foil Plates are metal plates used in the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System to transfer foil to paper through a combination of heat and pressure. Roll the Glimmer machine base through your die cut machine to deliver its beautiful design. Refer to Compatibility Charts on Spellbinders’ website, to see if your machine is a match.
Our Creative Team members will showcase their creations made with the Delicate Impressions Collection today. For those of you who enjoy watercolors, we are using Jane Davenport Watercolors to highlight our projects. See if you can identify what techniques are being used!
Becca Feeken sent over these stunning plates and dies for me to try.
Each of our Creative Team members will show you their take on cards made with a Collection.
My take for Today:
Here is what the glimmer plates and dies look like:
My project for Today uses Filigree Crescent Band Glimmer Hot foil plate.
Have used Gold foil on DCWV Luxury stack patterned paper for the card.
For the 3D project, made a Pillow box using the same DCWV paper stack and topped with Elegant twist rectangle diecut and Heartfelt Sentiment Glimmer foil plate as Foiled diecut sentiment.
Designer Tip:
Keep the foil as the same size as the foil plate to avoid overfoiling. Apply pressure slowly evenly
while sending into the die cutting machine. This gives a beautiful even foiling.

What’s a Cardlet, pray tell? A Cardlet is a small motif, complete with background, sentiment and character that combine to make small card or layers onto a larger card. We’re delighted to introduce you to the Sweet Cardlets Collection.
Becca Feeken sent over these lovely dies and watercolors for me to try.
Sweet Cardlets show up in a Glimmer format with a matching die. They are metal plates that are used in the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System to transfer foil to paper through a combination of heat and pressure. The Glimmer machine base is rolled through your die cut machine to deliver that pressure. As long as you have a machine that can accommodate thick dies – like steel rule dies, you’re all set. A word to the wise, it is very addicting. (Compatibility charts on the Spellbinders website)
The Inspiration behind Sweet Cardlets
We gotta fess up here. There’s no such word as cardlets, yep, Becca straight up made it up. You have to agree though, it sounds really cute, right? Well that was the inspiration behind sweet cardlets. As you can imagine it has something to do with cards and moreover, little cards.
Always mindful of the budget, Becca wanted to create a collection where each set is all you need to make a little card. Sweet Cardlets are small motifs with a 3″ x 3″ footprint. Each has a background, a main character and several sentiments.
We found it the right size to fit on an A2 card and even to layer onto an A7 card. In fact, the 3″ background can be repeated for a long background or a larger background. Dies cut out each main character and three sentiments with each set give you lots of options.
Each of our Creative Team members will show you their take on cards made with the Sweet Cardlets Collection. Today we’re all using Jane Davenport Watercolors in some technique to show off Sweet Cardlets.
Here is what it looks like:
Am happy to introduce Graceful Swan for this Hop.
I have created a square card using Spellbinders Elegant Twist Square Dies by Amazing Paper Grace SKU S4-1049 .
Made a focal point using the Glimmer plates and dies using my new Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine. Colored the glimmered diecut Swan in grey and orange for beak colour using new Jane Davenport’s Neutral palette and watercolor brushes. Little bow and a feather to finish off the card.
Designer’s Tip :
Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system is a new addition to my Crafty stash. I visited many Youtube tutorials to educate me much about the ways to use glimmer plates on different substrates first and then started to use my machine.
Must say this helped me so well and I haven’t wasted any glimmering foils during the process of Glimmering these plates.
Here is the Spellbinders video showing amazing new samples as well as a walkthrough of the entire collection.
