Winter Wonderland

Love this season especially for the Snowflakes… and wanted to create a winter scene with the dies on hand.

This time took Cheerylynn Snowflakes die and used it on a winter scene. Hope you like it!

Here we go,

Matted Spellbinders curved rectangles on blue and white base cardstocks. The front panel is tore and roughed at its edges. Stamped my new Kaisercraft Woodgrain stamp in White embossing powder and slightly sponged with Vintage photo DI to mimic the frosty look on trees. MS sprig punch is used to added to create the frosty look of leaves on tree trunk.

A small diecut of same die is used to create a mini scene for the sentiment which says “Let it Snow”. Masked the area and sponged with Tumbled glass and Broken China DIs and stamped the sentiment. And on the lower part on the word, “Snow” and around it added Diamond dust twinklets to create a frosty look.

And this is mounted on the front panel and to it added the Memory box Deer Trio diecut (a new addition to my craft stash), which is sponged on edges with vintage photo to give a defined look.
The deer family in kept on the snow which is created on base of the front panel.

And now the CLD snowflakes diecuts are taken, sponged with tumbled glass DI and added on the entire winter wonderland.

Hope you like this attempt.

Winter Whites :)

First post in this new year 2015!!

Like last year, this year too i have started my first post on WOW card (white on white). Am a big fan of WOW cards. Earlier done 4 Wow cards and you can check here .

This card done entirely using Cheerylynn dies only 🙂

CLD’s Mexican tile die is used for the front panel and for me every tile look like a snowflake 🙂 .Its matted against a front and base panel using foam tape for the dimensional look. White Thai tissue paper is used for the central portion and the texture of it, mimics snowy feel and on it added my new CLD Snowflakes die, which has very many sizes and patterns of the snowflakes. At one go, you can have lots of snowflake diecuts 🙂 IBS sentiment is stamped using versamark and silver embossed.

Diagonally at corners, the flower clusters are made using CLD gardenia die, one of my ever favorite for making roses and this time i used diamond dust glitter for that frosty look on flowers.
The Flaky flowers are made using CLD embellishment die and the CLD build flower-2 leaves are being used along  with CLD ivy flourish die, CLD tropical flourish die.

Few more shots

Pearls of various sizes used as centres in snowflakes and flowers.

Hope you like it!!

Vintage card – Just for U :)

Its my second time try at Vintage style. Earlier card can be seen here. Love this style for the dark tones of brown, beige, tans, black hues and still creating magic.

This is the last card for this year 2014 and also DT inspiration card for the Cardabilities challenge.

Felt like IBS Vintage floral PP is so apt for this theme and so matted this against the black CS. To achieve the look, pp is roughed, rolled at edges using scissors, distressed with vintage photo DI and to give a bit more darker shade, distressed pp at various places and stamped randomly with IBS script stamp from Friends forever stamp set using same DI. Am in love with the effect it has created on bg.

Used Doily die and cut the doilies of various sizes in brown CS. And on it, arranged the floral using Joycrafts die. This time, tried a different flower other than my usual flower style. Hope you like it!

Closer shot of flowers

For stamens, used CLD embellishment dies and cut in black CS. The rose strips are diecut in white and distressed with Vintage photo DI and the florishes of black and white to balance the flowers.
Sentiment is stamped in oval scallop diecut and distressed with DI.

Thats all from me 🙂

Wishing all my readers, blogger-pals, a very very Happy and Wonderful New Year 2015. May your days ahead be more joyous and lovely 🙂

Thanks so much for the support and lovely comments, which is the only source of driving force for me.

Last card for this year from here before i sign off for vacation !!

Matted a red pp against a ivory base CS. A simple floral arrangement using Cheery Lynn Gardenia strip flowers, baby breaths from CLD embellishment die and the leaves are from CLD ivy florish die.

Love this sentiment from IBS and want to focus the sentiment this time. Hence added on Marianne frame die which is tilted and off centered and around which arranged the floral clusters.

Season’s Greetings Card+Box!

Hello Friends!!

An early Season’s greetings card from me this time. Little one’s winter holidays are gonna start within few days and wish to gift this to his loving class teacher Mrs. Beena Antony.
Keeping in mind, few challenges, come up with a card today.
Here we go,
If you are a frequent visitor of my blog, would be known by this time, that am a pastel shade lover and its so hard for me to use glitter, sparkle kind and dark shades in my projects. Yet this time, tried using those in my card.
First of all, must say, i love this Mexican tile from Cheerylynn Designs and was waiting to use for Xmas time cards. Purposely left few places with negatives of diecut and matted against a red CS and again which is matted on the white Base CS.
Always wanted to make poinsettia from the Cheerylynn rose strip die and at last included here. Hope you like my attempt. Applied golden glitter glue on the leaves to give a sparkly effect and three golden half pearls for the centre.
And a last minute inclusion is the Bauble. Yes thats a harddrawn one and gold embossed part is the central portion of the mexican tile diecut, which i havent used for the card centre, instead used to make the bauble.
A sentiment on a diecut with few rhinestones.
And inside of card has a diecut with Xmas and New year wishes and the ornate corners are again made sparkly using Gold Glitter glue.
Hope you like it!!
Supplies:
CS – Fabriano White, Red CS
Dies – Cheerylynn Mexican tile, die, Cheerylynn rose strip die, Spellbinders Timeless rectangle die, Itsy bitsy Venetian label die
Ranger gold embossing powder
Heat gun
