Floral Thank You card :)

Yet another post and of course a last one before my India trip on 24th June 🙂

In my last India trip, carried few craft supplies and it was lying almost 1 month unused. Atlast now find some time to use those.

Stenciling is done with TH honeycomb stencil using Texture paste and by masking a central portion of the card using a scallopped oval diecut, misted the card with Heidi Swapp Georgia peach shimmer mist.

MFT fluorishes are added and Flowers are made from CLD Gardenia strips by misting, distressing with various distress inks – Tumbled glass, Fired brick, Dusty concord and those CLD ivy fluorish leaves are distressed at edges by Crushed olive distress ink.

And a butterfly is stamped on White CS, colored using distress inks – Mustard seed and Wild honey and fussy cut and added near floral spray.

Used Gauze on adhesive side of masking tape and  sponged it with Distress ink Victorian velvet. A sentiment is stamped, then diecut it using Spellbinder Ribbon Banner die and added to the card. Misted stenciled cs are used as banners at right top of cards and few pearls are added as final touch.

Hope you like the card!!

Yet another Butterfly card from me. Little one is back to school today and now in KG2 🙂

Used only CheeryLynn designs dies to make this card. Love the DCWV Mariposa collection a lot. Matted this to the kraft cardbase. Diecut CLD English teaparty doily from a Pattern paper and distressed with Tumbled glass DI. And the Tiffany border diecut is added to it.

And top of doily, Bloom is added by embossed and distressed petals using CLD sunflower die and CLD tropical florish is diecut from vellum to tone down the effect and tucked underneath the bloom. CLD  small exotic butterflies are diecut and distressed with tumbled glass DI and rich cocoa momento ink.

Sentiment is stamped from IBS butterfly wings stamp set and so the butterflies and the dragon fly. As a final touch, used fiskars tetra corner punch, added white rhinestones on corners and mini pearls on butterfly bodies.

Altered Wooden Ladle – A Wall Hanging :)

Hey Hello!!!

This time have come up with an altered wooden ladle….into a wall hanging 🙂

New wooden ladle was taken and painted in white acrylic paint and after drying,  distressed with Rich cocoa momento and sanded with sanding block to give a shabby chic look.

Before:

To level the depth of the ladle, added some packaging cardboard as strips and hot glued it. Then on top of it, added 2 English Tea Party Doily Angel wings is diecut from IBS vintage florals pp as base. The focal element – Butterfly is a diecut and distressed with Danube momento ink and added just below the sentiment diecut, which is also distressed with rich cocoa momento. A scallop border sticker is added as a trim under doilies on the baby pink tulle.

Handmade blooms 🙂

Tried making some crinkled flowers with pearl centers and added with florishes. Those leaves are from Ivy florish diecuts. Flowers are distressed with rich cocoa momento and Tumbled glass DI and misted with water to get shapes.

Wrapped the handle with pink grossgrain ribbon and added MS butterfly stamp and punch butterflies in series and a big butterfly diecut is added on a sentiment diecut saying “Spread your wings and Fly”. Few trims on the handle with blue grossgrain ribbon as loop for hanging 🙂

Hello Spring!!

Spring is here!
Spring is here!
How do u think i know?
I just saw a butterfly/bee/blue bird
And that is how i know….

This is the first rhyme taught to my little one when he joined KG1, in last Spring. His favorite one too.

And today’s card is about the Spring mood…Handmade Blooms in pastel shades to welcome the lovely season 🙂 Made this card with just Cheery Lynn Designs Die only!

Used patterned papers from Zephyr paperpad and these are matted on the White CS. The front panel edges are jagged with scissors and on it mounted the Teal blue panel to which handmade blooms are added. To CLD Tropical Fluorish die, a baby pink Tulle is spread and on top of it all handmade blooms are added.

The big roses are made from peach duplex papers using the CLD Gardenia die, and those rose buds (white, yellow, peach) are made using the same die. Duplex paper gave a nice texture to the rose and rose buds. The yellow flaky kind flowers are made using the stamen kind patterns in CLD embellishments (B256) die and sepals of rose buds are made from same die.

Close up shot of Floral spray:

CLD olive branches and CLD rose strips die is used to make the floral cluster. CLD small exotic butterfly with wings die is used to made the butterflies and few pearls, tendrils added as final touch.

Blooms 🙂

Sentiment is added on a banner and placed near the floral spray. Used tracing wheel to make the faux stitches.
This is all for today…Hope you like it!
