Floral Love card

Hi ya Friends!

Recently watched this technique and wanna give it a try – “White pencil highlighting” by Jennifer Mcguire! Not followed as such, and just given few twists to suit my taste.
Took a piece of dark chocolate brown cs and stamped the Hero Arts large blossom stamp in Color box White frost pigment ink. This stamp set has a bold bg and open floral patterns. I just pounced the pigment ink at certain areas of stampset, to give a mottled effect.
The floral patterns are highlighted using white pencil and to add interest, added wink of stella clear over it. You can see faint shimmer on the pic below, pic couldn’t capture much of shimmer though 🙁
A2 sized side fold lavendar card is taken and Hero Arts florish is stamped around the corners using Momento rich cocoa. Then the floral panel added on card. IBS sweet valentine stamp set is used for sentiment, which is stamped using Black archival ink.
Few white pearls and heart peals for added interest.
Hope you like the card 🙂

Love…Cherish…Adore – An Altered Hoop

Hi Peeps,

Today is my 8th year of “Togetherness” and what better way to express my heart!
Hence, this little handmade gift 🙂

If you are following me on IG, would have seen sneak peeks by now 😀

Its a mini hoop of 8″ inch width across.
Primed with Prima Chalk board paint – Sand.

Took 300gsm watercolor paper, mounted on a thick chipboard and measured the outer circumference of hoop and cut it.

Primed the watercolor paper with gesso, then used Prima Grunge grid stencil with Prima modelling paste.

Used cockleberry coral, Gold LSG sprays and misted liberally and heatsetting it at every interval.

Couple silhouette from Cheerylynn designs were taken on a white cs, lightly sponged with tea dye DI, and clear embossed it using UTEE clear Ep.

Kaisercraft cherish stamp is stamped randomly on the surface using Black archival ink and Prima texture clear stamp is used for all the black stamped textures on the edges of the surface.

A crocheted lace on the hoop is glued using hotglue gun and floral spray is made using few large roses, hip roses, stick pollens, cherrylynn ivy florish die leaves. A large paper pieced butterfly is added near it.

A pink tulle added on the surface with the couple silhouette on top.

Spellbinder vines of passion heart diecut taken and modelling paste is applied liberally. Misted with Ruby red mistries spray. Then clear embossed using UTEE Ep. Few pearls are added on top of it.This added near to the couple silhouette.

IBS sweet valentine sentiment is stamped on vellum, adhered to white cs and then added to the surface. A resin cabochon and an organza white ribbon added to the hoop for the added interest.

Hope you like it!

Subtle Shimmery Love :)

Hi Friends!

Today at ICR, our Hostess, Gopi has come up with new challenge for Coaster ride this month, Tic Tac Toe, a fun challenge, of course with a twist 🙂 And we have come with first set of inspirations!

/
I took the left top diagonal Sparkle/Bling –  Love Sentiment/Quote – Stitching

Now onto card 🙂

Took fog cs, stamped doilies in Frost white, Pigment ink from colorbox.

Stamped the doilies on the kraft cs with black archival ink and punched the centres with 1 inch circle punch. (For Mandala twist –any repeated patterns in concentric fashion — Medallion, doily, Mandala can be stamped, stencilled, hand drawn)

Popped these centres on the doilies with foam tapes to bring about some dimension…to otherwise plain card. A big black rhinestone for the centres and generous wink of stella clear for all the subtle shimmery highlights.

Added a stitched black ribbon, which notched at one end for added interest.
IBS Sentiment stamped using Archival ink and added on top of the ribbon. A wood veneer heart is sponged at edges with rich cocoa momento ink and peach rhinestone added to it for all the final touch.

Mounted this on the A2 top fold black card using double sided tape. Am in love with fog, white, black with a pop of kraft color…Never used such color combos before, purely a sweet experiment 🙂

(Tip: Here haven’t used liquid glue to stick vellum on ribbon, as its always a failure. Rather i used a tacky tape twine just under the vellum banner and made it as unnoticeable. Its simple, take a double sided tape, take off the backing liner paper and simultaneously roll it tight to the needed length. This twine can be used just under those much needed non paper/fabric – vellum adhesive times..Important is to have non inky fingers when rolling, as the twine would be stained during rolling. )
