Spring Mood – 2

Spring….

Most cherishable memories of mine are in Spring season…Such a wonderful season, which i long to have throughout the year…

Last year, i made a quilled version of Spring …Which had my sweet memories of my trip to Jeju… And this year though not residing in Taiwan…still dwelling in sweet memories of that country…

Recently bought a blanket for my littleone and i found a design of these cute little pair. Badly wanted to give a quilled version to that. And the scene around it, is what my Spring mood is…Always my mind is so very joyful whenever the place is filled with fluttering butterflies, green plants, lovely breeze and i dont need anything more at all to elate my soul…

And….for the first time, i have tried “Edge-on quilling” aka “Silhoutte quilling” aka “Papergraphic Quilling”.
Being first time, i took a simpler one and tried my best…Yet needs lot of practice to get that perfection.
And after quilled portion is over, i dont wish to leave it as such and so tried my hands at distressing the blue sky. I made a small cut out clouds and stuck those in the base to get the clouds. And for the grasses, diecuts have been used in different colors to give depth to that. Butterflies are punched out from MS butterfly punch and shaded them with different patterns using Faber castell pencils. Mini daisy punch is used for little flowers.

Hope u like my little attempt in depicting my lovely Spring season, once again ….

Happy Quilling!!!
