Shabby Chic Valentine Card

This is my very first attempt in making a Shabby Chic card.

As am very new to cardmaking, it took me days to understand what exactly shabby chic card look like and explanation given at BGC made me to give a try. The floral patterned paper is downloaded from net and matted with a baby pink card and  distressed with Momento Angel pink. The doily is stamped using Momento Lady bug and  diecut hearts are added to it.

I made a nick at one arm of a heart and inserted the other heart and tied both at the centre with a small white satin and embellished with a rhinestone and pink pearls. Then for the first time, i tried pleated ribbon in the middle of card with baby pink satin ribbon.  Added big fabric flower and few mulberry flowers. And the little hearts are made from foam flowers, which i trimmed to make hearts. Sentiment is downloaded from net.

Hope you all like it and your comments are highly appreciated 🙂

And so happy to share that yesterday my Botanical Quilling Japanese Book has arrived. Had a long time desire to see the book and now dream come true 🙂

And a week before, dear hubby surprised me by getting a Samsung Multipurpose Laser Printer on his birthday. This really makes me to take easy print outs of all my digi sentiments,  free PPs which i saved for ages and also for my Littleone’s coloring pages 🙂
