Trio Deer Wishes :)

Inky card series again  but this time, its a Tag πŸ™‚

Am a shabby chic lover whose heart just goes behind mostly for pastel and soothing tones. Love making my own handmade flowers and heavily embellished layered card is my style.
Truly wanna deviate and explore this one layer super quick inky background cards. So the learning continues πŸ™‚
Took Sizzix largest tag die (oh yeah new addition to my stash) and diecut Ranger’s watercolor cs and used the textured side for my project today. Masked a border around the tag and started working.
Masked an area for moon and started building layers using blue inks and it goes like this – tumbled glass, broken china and Salty ocean DIs.
Smooshed versamark on a white cs and heat embossed with white opaque  Rangers Ep. The grainy texture was so apt and i have cut snow banks from it and popped it at lower end of card.
Colorbox cream white pigment was smooshed on acrylic sheet and that was smooshed again carefully on the inked edges of the tag, so as to mimic the falling snow. Now you have got it, why i took textured side of the watercolor cs πŸ™‚
Then to it, added diecut snowflakes from Cheerylynn snowflakes dies and added on the top of the inked bg. Now took off the mask of moon and it was just shining brightly on a snowy wintery night.
Cut Deer trio diecuts from memory box dies on a white cs and popped on the snow bank at varying levels of depths to show the distance and those deer family are lightly sponged on edges using rich cocoa momento ink to get defined look.
IBS sentiment is stamped on vellum and popped up on top of snow banks.
Hope you like my inky creations’ series πŸ™‚
Challenges:

IBS– used ribbon and vellum

IBS customer gallery – used IBS Christmas sentiment

Home – a Mixed media card :)

Yet another card in the series of “My inky hands” !!!

Thought to make an ombre in the sunset colors diagonally and hence started with wildhoney DI with very soft sponging and gradually increasing the intensity and ended with a darker tone of the shade with Rusty Hinge DI. Love the way the colors blended and flicked some water droplets straight from hand and left few seconds and wiped with tissue. This creates some interesting depth to the monochromatic background.

At one top corner, used stencil from TCW birds and feathers, sponged with momento tuxedo black and masked the area of the birds with a moon mask and again distressed the area with Rusty hinge to highlight the birds pair.

Then Kaisercraft Loire valley stamp set is used for the bushes, which is stamped again with Momento tuxedo black and the bird’s home is stamped with Archival ink sepia.

The sentiment arrangement is different, and so again i masked and stamped according to the sentiment space and just to highlight the word “You”. Then fussy cut the vellum sentiment label and bird’s home, popped up with foam adhesives.

A teeny tiny wood veneer heart from Freckled fawn is sponged with red colorbox pigment and embossed multiple times with UTEE clear EP. Red embossed mdf heart is placed on the bird’s home.

Used inks, stamps, stencils, paper pieced bird’s  home, vellum, woodveneer heart, embossing powders and this sums up my mixed media card.

Hope you like it!

Supplies:

Stencil – TCW birds and feathers
UTEE clear embossing powder
Colorbox Pigment ink – crimson red
Freckled fawn – Heart wood veneer
Thick white Vellum

Soar High!

Hiya!!!

Today’s card is also with Distress inks goodness πŸ™‚ Oh yeah! Inky hands nowadays me πŸ˜€

I love to build scenes with silhouette stamps, mainly because DIs are so versatile in blending with colors and magically creates a beautiful scene and finishes half our work πŸ™‚

Now onto my card πŸ™‚

Took A2 card and masked an area centrally and started building scene. Made a cloud stencil using acrylic sheet and with tumbled glass DI sponged softly to built the sky.

The dark blue border is made by masking again and distressing with Salty ocean DI. Those cute little hot air balloon are from IBS and had been longing to use these for an year. Did you heard right, me…Yes am a big hoarder πŸ˜€  .

The balloon is stamped with picked raspberry DI and the basket with Black soot DI. Fussy cut and mounted using foam adhesives.

Soar High sentiment is Dymo label maker generated. Its a new addition to my stash and the little guy making wonders for my little one’s project mainly. (Yesss…My little one love that so much, and so now all his stationary items are labelled πŸ˜€ )

Added 2 handdrawn birds at a corner to finish off the card…Oh yeah…its a single layer card πŸ™‚

Dream – a Galaxy Background :)

Oh yeah, Watercolor bug bitten me and i just cant stop creating a card today. This time its a galaxy scene. Been dying to try this technique and today managed to get a decent mimic of the galaxy. Hope you like it!

Now onto my card. Its a 5″x7″ card and am pretty much comfortable working with this card size only. A watercolor cs is taken and few distress inks were built in layers to get a galaxy kind. My choice of colors here are Tumbled glass, stormy sky, black soot, picked raspberry and shaded liliac.

Then the favorite part is splashing water on the card and enjoying the way the water reacts with DIs. And a generous tiny splash of white acrylic paint on the card. IBS Sentiment is stamped using versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger super fine gold Ep. And few cute teeny tiny stars as accents to finish off the card.

Am not satisfied with the way sentiment being stamped…yet i liked the bg much and so given a space in my blog for it…Hope you like the amateur attempt of my humble galaxy background πŸ™‚

Supplies:

DIs – Shaded liliac, Picked raspberry, Tumbled glass, stormy sky, black soot
Ep – Ranger superfine Gold Ep

Butterfly card !

Hiya Crafters,

Hope you had a wonderful Diwali πŸ™‚

Todays’ weather is so lovely and it calls for few butterflies in my card !!!

Made few marbled card with reinkers and sprays with Shave foam technique. As always, my heart went for pastel shades, because of that the beautiful patterns doesnt show up here properly. In real, it was lovely.

The base cs is one of those marbled papers using spun sugar, worn lipstick reinkers. IBS Butterflies are stamped using versamark and heat embossed with Ranger black EP. Those butterflies are fussy cut and added on cuttlebug provocraft square matting in black and white. Just the central portion of butterflies are glued to mimic its flight.

Then IBS sentiment is stamped on a marbled paper and its label diecut using Itsy bitsy scalloped oval. Sentiment label is matted on a black spellbinder banner diecut.

Few pink pearls as accents.
