Be Fearless : Mixed Media Wall Art

Hi Friends,

Good day! Back again today with a Mixed media work.

” Be Fearless in the Pursuit of what sets your Soul on Fire. “

Attempted to implement one of my fave quote with my most fave Chipboard, which is actually a negative of a beautiful Heart chipboard.

  • Used 5×5″ Kraft board for the base.
  • Textured base are created by adhering cloth on kraftboard.
  • Used the negative of the Gorgeous Heart chipboard from Dusty attic.
  • Used various sprays and Prima waxes.
  • Added those golden glitter balls for the minimal accent touches over the beautiful textures on the foldings.
  • Sentiment is from TH tiled alphabets, which were UTEE clear heat embossed and added.
Hope you like this!

Hi Friends!

Am delighted to guest design today at ParuCardmaking Challenges. Its such an honor to be invited and Thanks much for the lovely opportunity, Paru.

This month’s theme is  “Anything Goes” at PCM and i have come up with a Mixed media card and a Tag.

First up is Mixed media Card.

Made a mixed media square card. Lot of stamping , stenciling and texture pastes on the background.
Floral cluster along with tinted cheesecloth, twine bow are made on a doily.
Few vellum butterflies, generous splashes of white gesso and few clear droplets are added as finishing touches.

Next up is a Simple Tag.

Made a simple Tag, with watercolor bg using Brusho crystals.
Stamped leaves stamp using Green archival ink followed by Watereffects Stamp using black archival ink.
Sentiment is stamped over Vellum and added with few vellum butterflies.
As a final touch, added glossy accents to few raindrops.

I hope you feel inspired to play along this month’s Challenge – “Anything goes”

Cheers,
Sathya

Floral Mixed media canvas

Hi friends!!!

How are you all doing!

Sharing here a Mixed media canvas which i did as a Guest Design Project for Itsy bitsy a week before.

  • Took a 5″x7″ canvas and white gessoed it completely.
  • I used light paste for a textural touch with Lime splash spray and applied using IB Chevron Stencil from my stash.
  • Then added layering with gauze and corrugated packaging material over the stenciled area.
  • Gessoed down whole area again to tone down the colors.
  • Sponged the white frame with Metallic gold pigment ink and added over the layering.
  • On that added the handmade flowers from various collections .
  • Green heat embossed IB Flourish chipboard from my stash and added near the floral spray.
  • Took Lime splash spray on a brush and brushed around the floral cluster and added few art stones for the interest.
  • Stamped a few random print script over the entire canvas panel.
  • Then gave a generous splash of white gesso over the floral cluster area.
  • Then, die cut sentiment from IB backing sheet of chipboard, clear heat embossed and added over the chipboard.
  • Sponged butterfly with baby pink pigment ink and added to the canvas.
