Floral Smiles : CAS card

Hi Friends,

Made a CAS card today using Mudra’s Hibiscus stampset. Did Noline coloring technique.

Over to my card,

Stamped Mudra’s Hibiscus stamp onto watercolor paper using Antique Linen DI for attempting Noline coloring technique.
Colored using new to my stash- Fabercastell Watercolors.
Fussy cut and splashed generously with watered down white acrylics.
Took a Tag from watercolor cardstock and sponged Mustard seed DI over the corners leaving centers white.
Stamped sentiment from Kaisercraft using Memento Black ink.
Splashed with watered down green ink over the sponged areas.
Topped the Tag die-cut with Hibiscus using double sided adhesive.
Then this Tag matted over White cardbase of 4×6″ card using Foam adhesives.

Added few dew droplets to finish off the card.

Hi Friends,

As an Introvert my daily routine hasn’t changed much! Working in isolation and maintaining a social distance has been a Lifestyle. It can be overwhelming for some to stay home during this Covid-19 Pandemic. Go back to what you love to do. Rearrange your interiors. Spend time with your Family and learn new art.

Idea of this CAS card born when am shifting my Pothos plants from balcony today, as our part of India is experiencing peak summer.

My Mom is a Plant Nerd and she maintained a huge garden in our Home. I grew up seeing her do rose stem grafting, collecting and sowing seeds, preparing soil beds for our Rose plants. My deep interest on Gardening is what my Momma sow in me and it continues to grow well here.

Over to my card for Today,

Took watercolor cardstock and sponged Antique Linen DI around leaving a central portion.
Then stamped a text stamp from HNDMD Old Newspaper stamp on the background on the edges randomly to give a subtle texture using Antique linen DI.
Stamped the sentiment from Kaisercraft Blue Bay (new in my stash) using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Started to stamp the leaf twig from Uniko Just because stampset (new in my stash) using Peeled Paint DO on the lower half of the panel around the sentiment.
Liberally splashed same waterdowned DO splatters on the card over the leaves.
Added three clear dew droplets for the visual interest.
Trimmed a bit and added this to A2 sized top fold black card base.

Hi All,

Am back here with a non-floral card for today. CAS : Clean and Simple cards are not my forte as this heart loves all layered, textured stuffs more. I admire CAS artists a lot and their aesthetic way of playing with stamps, stencils, dies yet making the card look Fabulous with loads of white spaces.

My Mom is an Oil painting artist and my second half of name ‘Kala” refers to ‘Art’ in my Indian regional language. Learnt Music and Dance from my childhood yet ‘Art’ always reminds me of the colorful splatters of inks, paints, brushes.

Over to my card,

Took a 4×6″ white cardbase and using Mudra World stencil, dry embossed it.
Love the subtle embossed bg of world map.
Using Kaisercraft stains stamps, (Brand new in my stash) stamped the splatters using various Altenew inks.
In a canvas sheet, stamped the sentiment from Stamplorations ‘Art is’ stampset using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Cut the sheet around the sentiment and frayed the edges for an added interest.
No embellishments added to keep the focus on dry embossed bg and the sentiment.

Hi crafters!!

“Very Happy Anniversary to Us”

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary and i made this Mixed media canvas and gifted him today. As always…His smile says it all 🙂

Let’s see the procedure:

Took 9×6.25″ flat panel canvas and gessoed it, after adding layers of tissues.
Added Plumeria and Key Lime acrylic glazes a wash on the background.

Stamped and white heat embossed Sosuzy couple stamp on vellum and mounted onto a corrugated paper strip which was dry brushed with gesso.
Stenciling done using Prima light paste with Tile TCW stencil.
Few random stamping here there.
Timholtz chitchat stickers matted with brown cs and mounted on canvas using foam adhesives.
Floral clusters , crocheted leaves sponged with green stazon, which was primarily a lace, white tulle, pearl strings were added.
Prima resin icon, ampersand were added.
Few wood veneer hearts and wyacinanka chipboard, Kaisercraft butterflies are stamped on to vellum for all those light airy final touches.
