Gratitude : CAS card

Hi Crafty peeps,

This time it’s a non floral card and playing with Brushos is my most favorite one among the techniques.
Absolutely love the way the color bursts and reacts with water and gives an abstract/organic look.

  • Took a non-watercolor cardstock this time, and played with Brushos – Yellow and bit of Crimson crystals.
  • Both mixed up to give an awesome abstract look on the card.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Stamplorations ‘Art is’ stampset on the card panel.
  • Then onto the vellum, white heat embossed small butterflies from Stamplorations Trendy butterflies-2 stampset.
  • Added the fussy cut vellum butterflies to the card panel.
  • Matted this over the white top fold 4×6″ card base and few clear dew droplets to finish off the card.
Hope you like it!

Together Forever : Chipboard CAS Card

Hi Bloggy pals,

It’s CAS card again this time. Though I ardently love making textures and layers, CAS amazes me equally with all those white spaces, which speaks tons of emotions. I admire a lot of CAS crafters, who aesthetically work on focal elements and brings in Minimalistic versions.
Yes, It’s yet another card using Brusho, my most favorite watercolors. Love to create visual textures with it.

  • Took a watercolor panel and played with Brusho crystal – Orange for an abstract look at one corner of the card.
  • Then took MUDRA chipzeb and sponged with MUDRA Mai jet black ink.
  • Stamped an appealing sentiment from MUDRA together forever stamp set with 2 hearts on the lower portion of the card.
  • Added the chipboard using liquid adhesive.
  • Mounted this panel to A2 sized black cardbase to finish off this card.
Hope you like it!

Be Brave!

Hey Hi All,

Am still sticking and challenging myself onto making of some non-floral cards…Yay bit away from my pencil coloring, watercoloring of florals.

And for today, it’s a Butterfly card.

To me, Butterfly symbolises a “Free spirit”. And it goes wherever it pleases and pleases wherever it goes.

  • Took a watercolor paper and trimmed a bit to fit a 4×6″ Top fold cardbase.
  • Mixed HNDMD paper texture paste and Brusho -Limegreen to get a beautiful shade of green.
  • Applied this prepared paste over the panel using TCW ‘Art is’ stencil diagonally and applied plain paper paste to rest of the areas.
  • Love this texture paste as it just mimics a handmade paper texture.
  • Centrally splashed Smooch-Spritz golden yellow for a warm glow.
  • Stamplorations -Trendy butterflies2 large butterfly is gold heat embossed, fussy-cut and topped over die-cut leaves to create a focal element.
  • Sentiment from same stamp set is stamped using Memento black ink on to a strip of paper and added to the focal panel.
  • Matted this over cardbase and added few green enamel dots to finish off the card.
Hope you like it!

Bouquet of Sunshine – Powerpoppy

Hi blogger Friends,

How y’all have been?

Brought in yet another Floral card to brighten your day.

  • Printed the digital image from Powerpoppy – Send home some Sunflowers in grayscale, to do some no line coloring with Prisma colored pencils.
  • Fussy cut the bouquet and the sentiment in a shape of a tag and set it aside.
  • Took a watercolored cardstock and with Brushos – Limegreen, gave  a background wash of color.
  • Then with TCW- Art is stencil and Prima Light paste, gave a texture in the focal panel,
  • Took the fussy cut floral bouquet and tag, ran black marker around the edges to give a defined look.
  • Mounted the bouquet and Tag using foam adhesives on textured focal panel.
  • Matted this textured panel over A2 sized black card base.
  • Few dew droplets added to finish off the card.
Hope you like it!

Butterflies’ Birthday Wish

Hi Friends!

Am here today with a simple birthday card with a bit of Watercolor play with Brusho.

It’s been a long time since I played with it!

  • Took watercolor cardstock and sprayed water with a mister.
  • Added the Lime green Brusho pigment. One of my favorite of all for the pigments it holds : Green, Yellow and a dash of blue.
  • Heat set when the pigments moved and formed a desired look,
  • Using TCW ‘Art is’ stencil, stenciled over the colored area with Prima’s Platinum crackle paste.
  • Being a thin font style, the crackles aren’t that prominent. Nevertheless I love the metallic sheen of the platinum paste.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Inspired By Stamping ‘Wishing you’ using memento black ink onto the focal panel.
  • Using Ranger White EP , heat embossed the butterflies from Stamplorations Trendy Butterflies2  onto Vellum.
  • Fussy cut those butterflies and added to the focal panel.
  • This panel is trimmed and mounted onto a baby blue top fold 4×6″ card base.
  • Few clear dew droplets added as final touch.
Hope you like it!
Happy Crafting!
